is it true as a dancer that you cant think too hard about it, you just move to the music?

Michael Jackson said in an interview that its a big mistake to not think hard about the dance, just move to the music.

Well I’ve been taking Salsa since January. I personally never took any dance lessons or did any real dancing before so I found it a little difficult when I started, but it got easier. The basic isn’t that tough, you just need to remember which beat to be on. It seems that a real dancer doesn’t have to think, but there defiantly is an awareness that you need.

But just go and have fun. Two big thumbs up for new salsaeros.
